Blue Meany - so, can I do you when you get back from Iraq?

Emma - please don't tell me what you're having. My digestive tract acts up even when people talk about food.

artgnome - what kind of name is Irritable Bowel Syndrome, anyway? It makes it sound so innocuous, as if it's just a matter of my bowel having gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. Oh, don't you mind that bowel, Mildred - it's just being irritable.

While you clearly aren't having fun with all your various problems, you do find it in you to write about them, and I find that I laugh at the way it's written, so I suppose everyone's happy? *I apologize for the lameness of the above comment, I tried to come up with a snappy one. Really. I wanted to have something witty, and it just didn't work.

Just so you know, a friend of mine had IBS, and when he started taking prescriptions for it, his heartburn problems went away.

IBS is just that - a syndrome, not a disease. It's given to any group of similar symptoms that have no known cause. Some types of IBS have medications to treat them; most don't. Mine doesn't. That's just how shit works.

your skin should soon forgive you for the pill. but don't ever switch your pill! or it will start all over again. the first couple of months i started the pill, it was like a direct return to my awkward teen years. and i was getting breakouts in places i didn't even realize i had skin! *blech* but then the force kicked in and balance was restored and me and skin like each other again.

Oh, I have no intention of taking the pill past the next month or two. After that I'll be pursuing a more permanent and less hormonal solution. Die, fertility, die! *stabstab*

Brilliant! I think I need to touch base with my body parts... you and I share the same age and I like the example you have set of a straight-forward, get-to-know-you session. Brilliant.

You already know which are my favorite bits, not all of which are mentioned here. Of course, they'll require extra attention just to soothe their feelings. *scribble scribble*

Oh my. Just give me a second, lover - I'm sure I can come up with all kinds of other bits that require soothing. Repeated soothing. Mucho repeated soothing. *fanfanfan*
